We had the opening ceremonies for the 23rd annual peach festival. There was a ton of people there. What impressed me the most is how many people came up to me before I sang and remembered me from last year. I also did several more TV interviews because of my second trip to China.
But what made today really special and actually made the whole trip so far was a visit to a school. This was a private school that had all 12 grades. Most of the students boarded there but some went home at the end of a long day. 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.
These kids were great! They spoke English very well, even the preschoolers, and were happy to see us. I got to spend sometime with the kids and played basketball out in their playground while the "adults" took a tour of the school. This place is the size of a small college campus.
The really interesting thing is that the private schools in China are actually cheaper than the public schools because they are all sponsored by corporations.
If we can get a gig in the fall in Chengdu, we are going to try our best to perform for these kids because they deserve it!

Thanks for your prayers,
